About TAMEEL

Companies in India are required to invest 2% of their profits in the social sector. However, for too many companies, this obligation is reduced to checking regulatory boxes and less about making their social investments as effective as their corporate growth strategies. Companies that are deeply invested in developing smart strategic solutions for growing the goods and services that earn them revenues should devote similar commitment to maximize the impact of their CSR programmes.

TAMEEL is an Urdu word meaning execute/take action. At the core of this project is the belief that organizations could do better if they developed clear goals for their social sector programmes along with highly structured strategies and importantly, keen discipline in executing the strategies.

Through Impact Strategy Research, TAMEEL will share some of the best practices being followed by Companies / NGOs / Organizations in the hope that other entities can learn and emulate some of these practices in their activity in the social space.
